Palenque Grill

I’ve been here prolly 3-4times already and definitely never had a bad experience…maybe alil salty on some dishes, but nothing that would ruin the experience. This time around the elote botenro was huge!!! 2 whole corns cut in half vs before it was just one corn in 4 sections. Crispy tacos…superb and very filling. Steaks are prolly the best and softest I’ve had in the valley. Service attentive and friendly. Good job palenque

Extremely overpriced and small portions. We ordered the Parrillada Classic for 3 people. We were shocked when we received our order. You could literally count the slices of beef and chicken. We questioned ourselves thinking we ordered the wrong plate so we asked our waiter, as this couldn’t possibly be for 3 people. We thought we were being punk’d. He confirmed that indeed it was, a parrillada for 3 people. We mentioned to him that the portion size for an $85 plate was a little ridiculous and he stated that the new lady manager cut back on portion sizes. To add insult to injury, the taste was bland and lacking flavor. Nothing to brag about. I don’t mind the prices but if I’m paying $100, I’d expect the portion size to be fair. The rice that comes with this plate comes in a small bowl the size of beans you get from a local taqueria. Rice is next to our order for scale. This is a total rip off. It’s outside the mall so was skeptical. Quality of food and flavor was well above average. Salsas we’re great. It’s worth your visit. Only reason for 4 stars on service. The waitress stepped out for a minute but was professional and very polite.
