Ox is a high end dining experience with rich and flavorful foods. Whether vegetables or meats it’s an elevated preparation curated to satisfy. Must haves are the cheese empanada. The fresh clam chowder with smoked bone marrow is a unique and taste bud pleasing combination. The beef skirt steak, rib eye, and out of this world grilled Alaskan halibut are sure fire hits. The maple glazed heirloom carrots with pistachios are a must side dish. The fried russet potatoes are excellent as well. Bottom line you’ll spend a fair amount but you walk away with dining memories you’ll want to come back for.
Took me several visit to Portland to secure a table in this popular restaurant but it’s totally worth it. Superb BBQ meat certainly makes a great enjoyment to your taste buds. Appetizers were also impressive. Highlight was the clam chowder with bone marrow. Rich broth and the fancy marrow made the dish just heavenly. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Highly recommend it his place!
What a lovely evening to celebrate our life together! Ox was incredible! Wonderful food, amazing staff, Mia our server was excellent! We even made some friends and got invited to dinner next weekend! A night on the town with the love of my life!
