This evening my wife and I went to Outback for dinner for a date night, and the service was not as I expected from our last visit. The waitress, that tended to us barely came to check on us except to take our order, see how the food was once, and for the check, but the same waitress checked on others that were here before us and after us multiple times. Now I've been apart of tend to the nations people for 20+ years and one thing I remember, if you are in the service industry, you definitely want to check on those that you are in charge of they experience to bring more patrons back. And items were missing from my dinner as well. The secondary waiter who bought food the young man was more attentive then the waitress was. Honestly this maybe my last time coming here.
Alexia is a wonderful worker, she went above and beyond to make sure our party of 13 was well taken care of. She catered to pre-teen boys as if they were adults and that is impressive. I loved her service, her charisma, and all she did for us. Not once did she look annoyed and always had a smile on her face. I would definitely return and ask for her as my server.
We arrived at 7:30 on a Saturday night, tired and hungry, having driven from from Dallas. Timing was bad (Saturday at prime dining time), and the place was packed, but we were fortunate to get a bar table. We felt even more fortunate after our server introduced herself! Esperanza was beyond delightful: cheerful, attentive, and interested. Interested is a strange adjective to use, so I’ll explain: we’re vegetarians….at a steakhouse. We ordered Pelegrino, salad, baked potato and vegetables, a bit apologetically. She seemed excited that we had chosen to come there even though we’re vegetarians, and said she’d make sure they plate it nicely for us. She, with backup from Hector, made the meal a pleasure. As we left, she even told us we’d inspired them: they’re planning a meatless Monday! Oh, and the food ????. Baked potato, broccoli and salad were great. Asparagus, unfortunately, was woody. Can’t win ‘em all (we didn’t mention it to Esperanza). Vegetarian options: No specific
