Came here for obligatory fish tacos while visiting San Diego. Always solid. Surf and turf tacos were great as well. Super nice staff provided a welcoming place with a sample of the fish and veggie stew.
Came on a Saturday right when they opened and got tables at the shared outdoor dining space. I'm not sure if they have this all the time, but they were serving samples of their fish soup, which was excellent given the wait on the tacos despite being one of the first people in the store was rather long (or I was just hungry). Specialty tacos were a bit pricier than I would have liked (though albeit typical San Diego prices), but the original tacos were much better priced and what I would probably get next time I come here. A bit bland without salsa but the counter had a lot of different hot sauces to choose from.
