Original Oyster House

So this place has been going for over a hundred years. What do they care about reviews... The plain oysters were super fresh and enjoyable despite being served in plastic and that was all. Everything else, from the crab cakes to the bloody Mary was so SALTY, it was barely edible. The coleslaw is a joke. Unfriendly.

A small hole-in-the-wall type place rich with history. The food offerings were what we expected, and priced fairly. We were not disappointed at all. This isn't a fancy, revolutionary, over the top presentation type of place, it's a small menu that's well executed and if you can appreciate that, then you'll probably really enjoy it. It's blue collar for sure, in the best ways. The service was friendly and accomodating as well. We liked the spicy vinegar they offered with the spiral cut fries. My only recommendation would be to get rid of the plastic Dixie portion cups, seems like there's gotta be a better way than the waste of time and product it produces.

The crab cakes were more filler than crab and the fries were just not good. However the atmosphere and service were top notch. The drinks were made with care and perfect. The history of this place is pretty cool.
