We were at the Beverly farmer’s market and decided to google nearby restaurants. Open Outcry came up and boy are we glad. The atmosphere, food, craft beer, and rooftop beer garden are absolutely amazing. The cheese curds have a garlicky breading which elevates it from the norm and were my favorite curds to date. We chose the wood fired pizza and the hoyne sandwich as our entrees and both were delicious and filling. The service was spot on and the owner John was walking around to make sure everyone was good, that is when he wasn’t sweeping and cleaning and bussing the dishes. That’s the sign of an invested owner in my opinion. We are definitely planning on becoming frequent patrons!
Glad I finally got a chance to stop in-what a great spot! I got there early, but the staff was as warm and inviting as the decor. Whole place has a great vibe. Only had time for one beer, but the Delirio hazy IPA was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Bright citrusy and just drinkable. The owner John and I got to chat for about 10 minutes. He is a great guy and seems very committed to the neighborhood and knowledgeable about beer. I perused the menu and they have a great cocktail program to complement the beers. I’m coming back soon to try the pizza and the rest of that beer list.
Enjoyable atmosphere, love that you can see the inner workings of the on-site brewery facilities behind the bar area... adds an industrial but intimate feel to the space. Taking a couple flights of steps to the outdoor patio is another delight and value add to the place. The aesthetic gives rooftop garden and helps to diminish some of the cityscape. The food is good, service is pleasant and knowledgeable even though I did not get the opportunity to try any of the local brew on the menu on this visit (something to look forward to come back and experience!). Vegetarian options: Impossible burger was delicious, other vegetarian offerings on the menu. Parking: Limited street parking; many folks park on a side street and walk over to the establishment.
