One of the city's best restaurants. 111 is a fine dining experience appropriate for any family, friends, or company dining event. From date night to dinner with out-of-town visitors no matter what time of day you'll find an exquisite menu offering the best ingredients in a most beautiful presentation. The breakfast is one of my favorite two locations in the city. The biscuits and gravy are excellent as well as the eggs benedict. For lunch, would recommend the Express Menu. Recommend making a reservation with the hotel concierge or online reservation system. Valet is available for the car even when not staying at the hotel.
Bottom Line: Excellent food and environment, but questionable service. This was our first time to visit One Eleven. We are massive fans of the Capital Bar & Grill as well as the general vibe of the hotel. So, we have always wanted to try One Eleven, especially after hearing such great things about their brunch. When we arrived, it took us about 10 minutes to get the attention of the hostess. In her defense, she seemed to be addressing some sort of a situation. Once we were seated, it took our waitress a good bit to come by. While she was kind, she was generally inattentive. Our food, however, was excellent. The eggs Benedict and the Salmon eggs Benedict were both spot-on, truly some of the best we’ve had. The coffee was also very good. It was an overall good experience; it was just a bit disheartening to feel like an afterthought to the waitstaff. We are going to give it another try at some point to see if the service improves.
Wanted to plan a special anniversary dinner for the wife. So I booked the cellar room at the Capitol Hotel. We were well taken care of from the moment we arrived. 7 course dinner and 7 course wine pairings. The waitress was amazing along with the restaurant manager who surprised me with a sample of a very rare rye whiskey. (Huge whiskey and bourbon fan) All I can say about the food was that every course was amazing. I will post a picture of our menu but with one substitution. We had the Kobe skirt steak instead of the beef filet. If you want to commemorate a special occasion check out this private dining room.
