I was in town for a concert. Very happy to find this restaurant so close. We eat at the one in Houston a lot. This location is literally almost across the street from the Globe Life field and ATT Stadium. I can only assume they get very busy in game days. But on this day , a concert in the baseball field did not warrant scheduling staff. We got there at about 430-5 in a Saturday night and they literally told us the wait was about a hour cause they only had 3 waitstaff. They were trying to get others called in. It was not very busy when we got there but people were filing in and right back out after waiting for so long to be seated. The food was great but it just took way to long to get drinks, menus, once we ordered it came out very fast, delivered by a manager that was working tables as well. Place was very nice and clean , just need work on scheduling staff for busy times with events center so close.
Food was great! $5 margarita was excellent. Server was cool cool. Salsa has a real nice spicy kick to it. Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: Yes Delivery: Yes … More
I just remembered the reason I hadn’t come here. I’m a Mexico City native, where I believe is the home of the original taco al pastor. So I ordered a plate with hopes of reminiscing my hometown. Oh what a disappointment! Why why?? Why do they try to call a plate with the wrong name?? Tacos al pastor are street tacos size with corn tortillas! The grilled pork is sliced off a “trompo.” However, OTB wanna be tacos Al pastor should be called pulled pork tacos with pineapple on a flour tortilla instead. That would be less deceiving. I gave them a try, but I just wanted to cry. Also, the chips that we used to love, tasted like they were fried in rancid oil and so the rest of the fried stuff. My son enjoyed his nachos hence the two stars.
