On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina - Oak Park

Service was Fantastic!! Food was absolutely amazing!! They were short handed on staff, but the manager Chris made sure the restuarant was running at a 5 star rating! He was out there serving and taking orders with his people! He was very polite, and very energetic, excellent leader, made our families experience there amazing!!!! The whole effort that was being put in by the staff was amazing!!!

Delicious food and great service! The summer special menu has some really great dishes! I was pleasantly surprised at how well staffed the wait team is. They had several experienced waitresses on the floor to cover the dozen or so tables over Saturday lunch, and they were training 2 new hires. Compared to other restaurants, this is incredible these days! I really hope they're attracting new applicants with reasonable wages and benefits. I have to assume so since they're so staffed up right now. It comes through in great experience that's getting harder to find these days. Keep up the good work!

I had great service (until the end when I had to wait forever for my check.) But I think they are short staffed like everyone. Food is usually ok. Chips & salsa are always great!
