Old River Tap and Social

I visited with my family for brunch on a Sunday. There were multiple staff standing at the hostess stand and most of them were on their phones. They also were giving sly looks to us when we walked in making us uncomfortable. I ordered the waffled French toast and it was not what I expected. It was too crispy (not like a waffle or French toast) and did not come with the syrup that I ordered. Our meals came out at random times and my meal cooled down by the time I received my syrup. The atmosphere was ok but with 6 different TVs on behind the bar, there was only one thing on all of them (soccer), no variety. Pretty expensive as well but I do understand the process for everything is rough.

Yum, yum, yum. Came here for Cleveland Burger Week. Drew served us. Not too long a wait given that they are understaffed like everywhere. Cheese burger was delish as were fries. If you like fries crispy make sure you ask. Mine weren't which is my preference. Drew was very attentive and brought me extra ketchup as asked. 85 year old mother enjoyed it too. They even have biodegradable straws. I was impressed. Would definitely go again! Thanks to the restaurant for participating in burger week!

I booked the back room for a rehearsal dinner And it was wonderful. The food was amazing, the staff was very attentive to our needs, and the board games kept everyone occupied throughout the night. My only complaint is that I was paying for the bar tab for beer and wine only for a specific amount of time, and when I got the bill my bar tab Include much more than beer and wine. As a matter of fact the bar tab was almost as much is my food bill. I don’t know if the bartender was not informed of my request , or if I was supposed to tell the bartender, I was not informed of this. But it made the bill higher than I had originally expected. Other than that it was a great place and I definitely am coming back! If I have another event, I will make sure that everything is communicated better.
