I spent quite a bit of time at the cafe today and everything was great. The staff was friendly and knew a lot of the regulars by name. My cafe con leche was made perfectly and the veggie breakfast sandwich was great. I worked in the corner straight through to lunch so indulged in a rice bowl with pork. It was also great. The best thing I had by far was the dirty horchata. I might go get another one tomorrow.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice open and fresh. However, my Arroz con pollo was tasteless with a house salad? . The chicken was cold, patacones looked like something from that taco chain. A house salad served with the rice and it tasted like the San Francisco treat (rice a roni). This really is not 'authentic' foods. It wasn't worth the price to me. I was really disappointed. But I may return for future menus or the cafe to give it another try .
Great coffee and fun atmosphere. Something for the entire family to eat and drink. I recommend the late de coquito and a rice bowl!
