Nobu's

Since I am out of town, I’ve been here three times in last few years. I thought this place was the best kept secret but this time, it was average. Ramen was good, a lot better than Nami and half the price. But I don’t rate sushi place based on their ramen. Sushi place should have a solid Chirashi but it was ok. It had the shiso leaves and sansho to tingle your taste buds but no bed of kanpyo. It had way way too much avocado and not very much sashimi.

ACTUAL JAPANESE FOOD!! I like American-style sushi, but when I want authentic Japanese cuisine, I go here.

Glad to have this gem in St. Louis. Consistent, exceptionally fresh food, pride taken in everything that comes out of the kitchen. Being big sushi lovers, we didn't stop eating it when we had kids and this place is welcoming for families and date night. We recently did omekase and it was delicious and worth every penny. It's definitely for someone who wants a traditional Japanese experience but it has plenty of options for spend who wants popular rolls too. Chef nobu, his staff and his wife are gracious hosts every time.
