Nikko Southlake Restaurant

Everything was out of this world but my favorite was the ceviche roll and the salmon roll. I LOVED the Emerald cocktail and the ambiance! I will say I wish the tables were a little comfier but that’s not what I go to restaurants for. I am a picky sushi reviewer and I have to say this was such a delight! I can’t wait to go back again!!!

This dinner was probably the perfect example of a 4.5 rating as it was a nearly perfect meal. The service throughout was amazing, especially for a restaurant that has only been open for a short while. Our apps were all super tasty with a good mix of flavors. The Smoked Hamachi Carpaccio stood out the most from this dishes as the smoky flavor paired really well with the jalapeños and soy mustard sauce in the dish. The roll we ordered was solid, but more on the unspectacular side of things. The real issue we ended up having was with the nigiri portion of our meal. All of our fish based options were perfect, especially their very generous portion sizes. The wagyu nigiri, though, was awful. And unfortunately that was the case for 3 different pieces - none of which we were able to actually consume due to the meat being bad (too chewy, bad cut, etc). The staff was very apologetic about the issue and actually provided us with all three of their desserts to make up for it. And that definitely

Nikko is one of the best places for Sashimi and Sushi with a family. Sashimi is very fresh and Sushi is good as well. Strawberry Mousse Cake has a one of a kind taste to it. Kids love it!
