Nicky Rottens Bar & Burger Joint

We took the ferry onto Coronado Island with our bikes and made our first stop Nicky Rottens Bar and Burger Joint. Perfect day to be out and enjoy the sites on a full belly. We all ordered something different as you’ll see from the photos. Mine was the Cobb salad which to my delight was filling and well prepared. Great stop for bar fare. The beer is cold and the atmosphere very sports bar like. The service was fantastic and our server was great despite being very busy. Great choice any day … My rating 4.5.

I previously enjoyed some wings and fries here about 6 years ago. They were AWESOME! So, after completing some customer discovery I decided to reward myself and try their classic burger and fries--they DID NOT disappoint, AT ALL! It appears that ownership may have changed, I certainly hope their food and service do not. Sidebar: I went around 1:30 P.M. on a weekday. There seemed to be a regular bar crowd enjoying their time there but it seems to be a place that can get extremely noisy so plan to focus on the food and not the conversation if you go in the evening. This establishment does not charge a "Hardship Surcharge." Parking: Street parking only. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible.

December 2021: Came here for lunch after a run around Coronado Island. Shared a Western burger and a chicken salad. Both were very tasty. Beer and drink menu was pretty good! But since we just exercised, wasn't ready for an alcoholic beverage! Service was great. The lady said they were short handed due to staff shortages. But she did a great job at covering all of the tables during the lunch rush. Overall, would definitely come back again for more delicious food!
