Tried New China Star because my regular place wasn't open. We used to order from them often but we moved up towards Barry Rd. Not only did they deliver but prices were still good, the food was hot and amazing (and that's a lot coming from me in regards to Chinese food) We ordered spring rolls. cran rangoon, Springfield cashew chicken, vegetable lo mein, and princess chicken. Ordering online was fast and simple. Congrats, I'm breaking up with my regular place and coming back to you.
Today, I was craving General Tao's Chicken, badly. I wanted the kind you normally get in a Chinese restaurant, not the version I was served the last time I ordered it. At New China Star, I got the General Tao's Chicken lunch special. The service was quick and friendly. Price was very reasonable. The entrée came with all the sides I selected, and a drink. Everything was great and satisfied my craving to a T. I recommend trying out this place. I will certainly be returning to try something else. PS. Shout out to all the restaurants in this retail center.
Personally, I didn't enjoy it much. However, my food seemed fresh, it was exactly what I ordered (through Menufy). I ordered Egg Drop Soup, Schezuan Chicken, and Fried Wantons. Presentation was good, and I think cooking style wise; this is why I didn't enjoy it. Chicken tasted good mostly, but every cut felt cheap. I love vegetables, but my chicken meal was about 3/4 veggies, and 1/4 meat. Again.....seemed fresh and was decent in taste overall. First time I've had mushrooms cooked into Schezuan Chicken too. Interesting....not good.....not bad. Soup was terrible. Very bland, and just didn't smell good at all. Couldn't eat it. Fried Wantons were tasty. The meat inside was sweet, which was great with the Sweet and Sour sauce. Felt hard to chew, like they were overcooked..... but still good. They're worth a try. I personally wouldn't go back as I'd search for a different flavor to experience instead. But, because of the speed, convenience, and fact I got a halfway tasty meal, I'm obligated
