Muse Restaurant & Wine Bar

If I had to pick a great restaurant with atmosphere, superb intimate bar (great bourbon and wine selections obviously chosen specifically), charm and outstanding food and service it would be Muse. This is a dining experience not a meal. Interesting succulent fish, fresh pasta, eggplant, meats, duck, heirloom tomatoes with Barata, and risotto all have a special touch and are sourced locally per Donnie who knows how to please a customer. A staff that is attentive, well trained and fun add to the careful attention to detail that seems natural. Donnie is hands on and makes the meal memorable, but not smothering like some owners. He enhances every aspect of Muse and loves to have you join him. You feel like your the only one there in a packed house. The Muse team are like seasoned jazz musicians riffing, but staying within the rhythm that will allow for consistency. Wish we lived in Charleston so we could go more often. There is no place in Rochester NY like Muse.. or NYC either. Well done.

Wow! Let me tell you, one of the best meals and restaurant experiences combined. That’s saying a lot being someone who goes on a lot of trips and has been to many nice restaurants living in NYC. Donnie was beyond amazing!! It was my bachelorette weekend and he made it one of the most memorable experiences of the weekend. He remembered all our names and brought us personalized drinks based on what we said we liked. He then served us as if we were having a dinner party and brought out plates for us to share. Not joking when I say every. single. dish. was delicious. There wasn’t a single plate the entire party didn’t enjoy. He even knew exactly what dishes to bring for my cousin who has a gluten allergy and made her feel included in the experience. Donnie was one of the best waiters I have ever had and created a one of a time experience for us with laughs. The restaurant has such a nice ambience too. Everyone is still talking about it!! Would highly highly recommend and ask for Donnie! Yo

Erin was an absolute pleasure to eat with. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine. She was so much fun, very attentive and was one of the best servers we’ve ever had the pleasure of dining with. The food was fantastic. We had the special bruschetta (duck confit) and artichokes to start. Both were stellar. For the main we had the special halibut and the sea bass. The halibut and risotto were AMAZING. Best meal I’ve had while in Charleston. Crème brûlée was solid. So good, no time to take a picture. Visit this restaurant. Support this amazing staff. You will not be disappointed!
