Moreno’s Mexican Bar and Grill

Food quality was poor. Stale chips, nothing but syrup in the margaritas, shrimp wasn’t fresh/overcooked. Nice atmosphere, nice service.

Wife and I went to Moreno's one early Sunday night. The place only had a few couples sitting in the dining area, so we were sitted right away. The interior is kind of Southwestern/Mexican. It is clean but there were problems with cleaning. The menu is a little limited but most of the classics are present. I went with a special and the wife had enchilada suizas. A very funny incident happen when the server gave the cook the order. They had a few words and the the server picked up the special board. She then showed the cook the "special". He shook his head and shrugged. I guess neither knew what the special was. The enchilada suizas was way to spicy for the wife so we traded meals. I found it okay, not that spicy, but serviceable. The "special" turned out to be a fried shrimp taco salad. The salad was just okay. The fried shrimp were straight out of the freezer box. Enjoyed the molcajete very much! The salsas were fantastic. For such a small restaurant it had a constant flow of people eating in and to go orders. The server was great she had a wonderful personality and never stopped smiling.
