Monterrey Mexican Restaurant

The chicken soup was very good, I will revisit this restaurant picked up food to go and it was ready fast.

* this is a full review of how the staff here attempted to call the police on me* This was one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered in terms of dealing with a restaurant. Let me start by saying I live near a Monterey‘s restaurant in the Smyrna area that I frequent often. I assumed that all the restaurants were affiliated and have the same quality service and food, but boy was I wrong. When me and my friend got to the restaurant, The table and benches reeked of bleach. I was appreciative of the cleanliness, but feared that my clothes would be stained, which thankfully they were not. Nobody ever came to us and offered us chips or anything until we requested it. While we waited, I requested a cheese dip appetizer which tasted terrible and I requested for them to just take it back. I then ordered something on the menu, and the presentation of that meal was NOT something I would ever feel comfortable bringing out to a customer. We have been wanting to try this spot for a while and finally made it for a late lunch. Friendly staff...and a good ration of staff to table so you can always get some assistance. Nice salsa and good hot sauce selection. I had the combos one...two enchiladas (cheese) and a taco (soft chicken). Everything was great! Love the enchilada sauce and it was a large portion. Good for sharing.
