First time here.. My boyfriend surprised me for my birthday. We sat in a booth by the window. 49th floor. Everything was Simply Amazing. From our drinks, to our food, the view and the dessert. Every thing came out hot and fresh and tasted amazing. The ambience is really nice. All the staff was really nice..

Let me start by saying that the place is a high-end restaurant, you may get lucky and have an amazing view, it seems very popular for anniversaries and birthdays. I personally don't know if I would come back, but it's certainly nice for a celebration. They have a little bit of everything for every tastes, and I would say that the average including drink and food per person can be between $100-$200 depending what you actually like. They have salads, pasta, and some proteins (chicken) for around $35 the plate. A then the next level is around $70, they also have the high end which is +$200 per plate. Drinks must of the cocktails are about $20. The food was very well done, super tasty, and well portioned. We all ordered a protein and shared one side, but we had already had like 3 appetizers. The dessert was just OK, I was actually expecting for something more flavorful. Service was really nice, they were very attentive and knowledgeable. The monarch was incredible. You walk in and they serve you champagne for the elevator ride up. As soon as you walk in you feel like royalty! My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary together, so they brought us complimentary cocktails to start off the evening. I booked us a window seat which is $125 per person deposit that goes towards your bill and it was very well worth it. We had Courtney and she was fabulous. Very accommodating and finished our evening by sending over complimentary desserts that were incredible. The pineapple cake was my favorite that had rum and lime ice cream on top. So yummy! Get the lasagna- it has their fire roasted meatballs and ricotta in it. The carpaccio is a must! Comes with warm garlic brioche. If you're ordering cocktails try The Duchess. It's a great drink if you like grey goose and lemon. Thank you Monarch for having us and making our evening so enjoyable- we will definitely be back!!
