Modis in the City

I really want to see this place succeed. The food was really good. We started with the fries and I got the stuffed bell pepper as my main. Both were delicious. We also got a bottle of champagne that was delightful. Unfortunately this place was so understaffed on NYE that we got sat half an hour late. It was another half an hour before waters even show up on our table. The cook staff also seemed overwhelmed as they undercooked my friend’s chicken dish. The staff was super friendly and nice and tried their very hardest to give everyone the attention they need. They also comp’ed my friend’s dish and an order of fries which was nice. I am hoping to return when it isn’t as chaotic of a night and I can truly experience everything Modis has to offer.

On the pricey side but everything was well worth it. Lamb lollipops were awesome, melt in your mouth and great flavor especially with the sauce. Mushroom bruschetta tasted great. The mussels were fantastic as well. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, really enjoyed the vibe. Absolutely will be coming back here.

Food was good but I felt that the service could be better. There were only 3 parties during the time my group went, but every time we saw our waiter it was a minimum of 30 minutes before we would see them again. Otherwise my steak was great!
