Phenomenal food! My husband has Celiac Disease, so we are always on the lookout for gluten-free restaurants, and breakfast is particularly hard. Modern Bread & Bagel is dedicated gluten-free (as is the sister restaurant next door, Thyme and Tonic), so he could order anything at all. He had a coffee and a breakfast grilled cheese sandwich that was absolutely killer, and I had a bagel with smoked salmon and chive cream cheese which was heavenly. This place really knows their gluten-free breads and bagels (as the name might imply). We also shared a chocolate babka, which was so phenomenal I'm still drooling over just the photos and the memory. The premade baked goods and coffees are ordered at a separate register than the one for sandwiches, which was a little confusing to us, but we figured it out. Even though the restaurant was very busy, service didn't take too long - just keep in mind that if you want breakfast bagels as well as bakery items, you'll need to check out twice, and you'll
Gluten Free, Vegan Options, Kosher - What a trifecta!! Not only do they hit the boxes, but they excel at perfection in each area. I had a DELICIOUS home made vegan sausage egg and cheese on a gluten free bagel, and it was truly phenomenal. If you're in the area, you must make it a mission to stop by to pick up something to eat. If you're not in the area, you should make your way to the area asap, and then make your way over to modern bread and bagel. Thank me later. Vegetarian options: Vegan options available! One of the best bagels we've tried. We ordered the open-faced avocado and salmon bagel and it was really satisfying. It was super loaded so we ended up eating half of it for lunch.
