Overall, we had a nice dinner at Mills Tavern. Our waiter (Phil) was great and very attentive. Apps came out pretty quick and were good. Main courses took a very long time to come out, which was surprising since the restaurant was fairly empty on a Sunday night. They were decent, though my fish (halibut) was overcooked. Steak was good. I also struggled a bit with the menu, as it was fairly limited.
Won’t be back anytime soon after visiting Mill’s Tavern during Restaurant Week, July 2022. Our dinner this evening was a huge disappointment. We go fairly regularly to Mill’s Tavern, especially for special occasions, because their chef and service used to be top notch. Something must have changed in the past few months because I can honestly say that I haven’t had such a bad meal in a restaurant in years. I ordered calamari as a starter that was—for lack of a better word—disgusting (3 people ordered it in my party and we all agreed it was not edible). Should have gotten a salad. As far as entrees go, my mother’s pork was “blah” and my pasta was sticky. The salmon was decent but it was a very small portion. If the server had asked us if we enjoyed our food we would have told him no—but he did not ask. There was an incredibly long wait between our main courses and dessert. When dessert did finally come, the server did not offer us coffee. In addition, it was my mother’s birthday and her
Delicious and excellent service. Our waiter was Phil. He was awesome! Had the raw oysters, bourbon cocktail and pasta dish. Delish!Delightful!! Definitely recommend!! Also beautiful inside!!
