We went all the way from LA to visit San Diego and also heard that this restaurant is really nice. So we went ahead and ordered fish tacos and chimichanga, both are delicious. The server was really nice and explained us all the details. Overall we liked it and will visit again.
We ate here on a Saturday night and had no issue getting a table without a reservation. The food was very good. Highlights were the complementary cheese dip served with the salsa and chips, the house made corn tortillas, and the house margarita. Frankly, everything we had was very tasty. The ambience was very festive and fun. We ate on the patio which was well heated on the cool, January night we were there. Our server was slow and kept disappearing. But, that was more annoying than a real problem. I highly recommend this for a casual night out.
For the price, I expected more. Mostly it was bland, I had the Cammarones a la Diablo which one would expect some sort of flavor out of. The best part of the meal was the corn tortillas which were pretty great. The wait staff was also a highlight, super friendly and attentive. If you want a pleasant dinner, this is for you. If you want flavor look elsewhere.
