Mezza Luna Pasta and Seafood

The atmosphere makes Mezza Luna special - live music (on a Saturday evening), small intimate seating space, and wonderful aromas as soon as you walk through the door. The bread is amazing - crunchy, airy, and served warm. We got the calamari, cypress salad, and the pasta special for the day and all ingredients were fresh and delicious. We also ordered the Crème Brulle Cheesecake to take home and would say it is more caramel flavor than Crème Brulle, but still very good! The service and food preparation was very fast. Would recommend Mezza Luna to anyone who enjoys Italian food!

We came here for my wife's birthday and made a reservation for 7:00 p.m. on Friday night. The restaurant is a quaint but fun atmosphere and they had live music at the front door. We had fried calamari, veal marsala, and the orecchiete pugliese. The food was excellent, it's been 2 years since we came back from Italy and we've been craving good Italian food and this was the place to go. Everybody has told us mezza luna had the best Italian food in Atlanta so we've been waiting for the right opportunity to come here since we have a one-year-old and can't always go out for a nice dinner. We had such a great time accompanied with awesome food. Definitely will come back in the future. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time and not trying to walk in on any weeknight or weekend night as the restaurant is a little and the small tables are put close together for a nice cozy vibe.

Seriously one of the best dining experiences I've had in awhile. A set of unfortunate events put us in this area and last minute decided to try it, late and hungry. An hour before closing we walked in (which I always try to avoid, but unfortunate events). Sherrell was our waitress and PHENOMENAL from the beginning. I would go back just for her. The bonus was the food was absolutely delicious. The complimentary bread? Flavorful, toasty and the balsamic oil was great. I ordered chicken piccata. A favorite dish but I'm often disappointed. I upgraded the spaghetti to the freshly made fettuccine. Worth it! Very good. Sauce was divine. Perfect balance of capers and zest. Chicken cooked perfectly. I will definitely order again. Hubby got fettuccine Alfredo with chicken AND shrimp (rough day) and devoured every bite. That's a good sign.
