Mexico Restaurant

The chimichanga was pretty good but some bites were incredibly salty. Rice and beans are good. Chicken tacos are okay. I do appreciate that they allow you to order Al a carte, you do not have to have the entire combo. Prices are okay. The fried ice cream was super tasty but we waited a very long time to receive it. Service sucks really. We got seated and we’re not greeted until way late, and the complimentary chips and salsa were brought out way after we had already placed our order. I had a good time at this place so the lack of service didn’t bother me too much, had I been hungrier it would’ve made me leave tbh. Very cute restaurant aesthetically!

$70 total for two people. The restaurant was very busy! Despite this, the service was still friendly and fast. Unfortunately, the server misheard me and I received shredded beef instead of my desired shredded chicken. It was still good, but I prefer to eat chicken. The free salsa was a bit weird. Kinda like spicy ketchup. Everything else we ordered was hot and tasty. Something that surprised me was the rice and beans. Very flavorful. Definitely the star of the plate. The enchiladas are VERY cheesy, lactose intolerants beware! Overall, we had a lovely meal and we would be happy to return.

I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for good Mexican food in Honolulu, however the salsa is extra and it was not worth it. The enchiladas were delicious and well proportioned. Don’t get the horchata ????
