Mesquite Mexican Grill and Bar

The food and service was very good. It came out hot and correct. My only complaint is and I understand the reasoning behind it with cost of food these days. You get 1 basket of chips and 1 bowl of salsa for free and if you want it's like $1.85 for chips per basket and $1.50 for another bowl of salsa. If you don't pay attention to the menu you might get a nice surprise when you get your bill. Other than that I really enjoyed my visit.

We love this place. Have observed these people deep cleaning behind the bar. Floors were scrubbed and saw him clean and wipe down everything while we were there. Always good food and drinks in a sanitary place.

Always get the Don Pedro and was good. However found a piece of plastic in one of the items. Not very appetizing. Also, was charged a .50 “To go fee” on my check but clearly ate at the restaurant. Must’ve been for the small to go order that was on a separate check. Nonetheless, nowhere in the restaurant nor on the menu was this fee posted (at least not conspicuously enough to where I would’ve noticed obviously). Only .50 but still… Unfortunately this was withheld from the tip since it would also have been the waitress’ responsibility to communicate this if it wasn’t posted. Will not be visiting again due to this as it seemed kind of shady and dishonest and makes me question what else they may be hiding (See sentence 2).
