Melt Bar and Grilled

We love to dine in and I love the sandwiches, but honestly for me I really enjoy the take out salad portions. They always load up the take out box (where a lot of other restaurants totally skimp) and the vegetarian French onion soup is amazing! The breaded tofu is always tasty.

My wife and I had family from out of town visiting and we decided to treat them to lunch at Melt in Montrose. I ordered the Monte Cristo and, after waiting over a half hour to receive our food, the sandwich I received had one bite of meat inside. I showed the waitress what was basically a cheese sandwich and she graciously ordered a new plate from the kitchen. The second order came with literally two thin slices of ham and no turkey. The waitress notified the manager who came to our table and basically acted like I was being unreasonable. She insisted that there was turkey on the sandwich, but then recanted after I asked her which of the two slices of meat was the turkey. She then stated "Well, I can take that off of your bill. What else do you want?" in a complete tone of indifference. I remember Melt as once being the place where the portions were so generous that you had to rethink how you would get the food into your mouth, and you always left with a to-go box. this place exceeded every expectation I had and worth every penny. I got the Cleveland Cheese Steak and got the sandwich deep fried with fries and best sandwich I've had 10/10.
