We went here while traveling for a work trip. There are communal tables on the patio. I told the waitress there were more people coming possibly 9 people. There was a note on the menu that said they would do 1 check for a groups of 8 or more. Before we ordered I asked the waitress if we could do separate checks as we were on a business trip and needed separate checks. She told me there was no problem to do this. There were many witnesses to this conversation. When we went to pay they gave one check. I reminded the waitress of our conversation. She went to the manager but never came back. When I talked to the manager he told me the waitress told him that she did not tell me that. She looked intimidated by the manager. When I explained that we would have gone somewhere else or sat separately to receive the separate bill then he threatened to call the police on me. I would never ever go here again. I have never been threatened by a restaurant manager for requesting a separate
Good place for small group of 4-5 people Have a quite an antique theme you might like the ambiance if you like cozy places Goods Screens everywhere Long bar counter In the middle of downtown Bad None except vegetarian options are quite limited
I happened upon Meehan’s while in Atlanta today. The service was swift, staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I ordered the fish and chips which were delicious - the only thing I would say is that the batter on the fish could do with seasoning - salt and pepper, and perhaps a little more Guinness for flavour. There was a great selection drinks-wise, and the prices were reasonable. I had my meal and two drinks. Overall a great way to spend my lunch time. What made my DAY was seeing that the Shepherd’s pie had LAMB in it, which is the meat used in a traditional Shepherd’s pie. Usually what is actually a Cottage pie, using ground beef, is advertised as a Shepherd’s pie. But Meehan’s got it spot on. Thank you for exceeding expectations!
