Mecklenburg Gardens Restaurant

Service is slow. Food is okay. Go for the atmosphere of Zinzinnati's oldest restaurant and the outdoor seating available with fire pits. At several different points after ordering they had to inform us that a dish or certain ingredient was out of stock. Ideally, the restaurant should let us know before ordering what items are not available. I would recommend the Currywurst for a child as it's basically sausages in ketchup.

Eat before you go. Beer was great. Online menu did not match what they hastily printed, but still didn't have on the plates. Fish sandwich was supposed to be on a rye bun with tartar sauce. Plain dull bun, no sauce. Burger was supposed to be hand made, patty was from Costco or someplace similar. Garlic aioli on the side sounded great on the menu but none was on the plate. And ordered a 4 or 5 dollar side of cole slaw, in the picture you can see what was brought. And no one ever checked on us. AT ALL. I get short staffed, but having to complain before paying that you didn't get what you ordered is a LOT late. Oh, and the bartender didn't know the price of the beer!

After reading some reviews and the looking over the menu Me and My girlfriend decided to try it. The pretzel was really good along with the 2 burgers. One was meat and the other was veggie. The garlic sauce brought more flavor to the burgers, but the mustard that came with the pretzel was combined on to the burger. This place has wonder flavors and knows how to cook a good burger. If anything I recommend sitting outdoors on a good day. The birds were spectacular and the vines add to the atmosphere of the place. Would go back.
