Max's Tavern

It was less 5 min wait without reservations. It is a kids friendly place. Loved the atmosphere with all the basketball players picture and well lit. Rest room is clean and place is kept clean. Lunch menu was limited yet had sufficient variety. Nice place to go with your colleagues or family to have nice time.

Food looked amazing 8/10 but everything I had was pretty bland 4/10. We tried the fried Mac and Cheese bites, looked awesome, tasted really bland except for the strong garlic in/on them. I had the fish and chips, maybe just too much fried food for one sitting but I thought it all was pretty bland as well. My table also had the Tavern Steakhouse burger which looked awesome and was the best thing we ordered at the table. Overall for the price, I wish we would've tried somewhere else. The inside had a cool ambience but we choose to sit outside by the parking lot. Overall service was good until the last 15-20 minutes we waited for our check and eventually asked another server to find ours. Food definitely picture worthy over tasty.

I understand the spinach salad dressing is warm, but the spinach was totally cooked & soggy. In fact, the waiter came to our table asking who gets a side of spinach, so he didn’t recognize it as a salad either. It was smothered in Gorgonzola , overtaking any other flavor-way too much. I had to take most of it off. If I wanted cooked spinach, I would have ordered it from the side menu. The crab cake tasted old/very fishy. The waitress was very pleasant.
