It is a great place for breakfast and brunch in Phoenix. Kind of a kitschy, grunge sort of atmosphere with unfinished floors and metal chairs that grind in the floor as you pull them in and out. We went on a weekday in spring, and it wasn't busy at all. I enjoyed the Tuesday sausage and gravy special with huge chunks of sausage. I will say I could have used a bit more gravy in it, but many was it tasty. We all loved the hit cakes. They were fantastically fluffy and filling, and the syrup was darn tasty to boot. Try the honey lemonade if you get a chance... freshly squeezed, and you can taste the difference. My wife loved the coffee and made a point of saying it was some of the better tasting she has had in Arizona so far!
My friends and I were in town and decided to try this restaurant. We weren’t expecting it to be busy at 11 am. We gave our name and waited about 15 minutes for them to call us. Thursday special is classic eggs Benedict so it was perfect timing for us. We also ordered The Skinny. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. We definitely recommend this place.
Saw this on DDD. Has been on my list to try for several years. The service and food FAR exceeded my expectations. The steak was really good - have to admit I didn't think anyone would do a really good steak for breakfast. Eggs and potatoes were amazing as well. My son had pancakes and I still don't understand how a simple pancake can be so good. Also, do yourself a favor and get the organic chocolate milk. I could not more highly recommend a place for breakfast.
