Mastic Trail Brewing

A place I had been told about by a friend, and eventually got to try on for myself. Overall, it's a fun and interesting brewpub in an area where that option is at a premium. I tried a small flight of beers, and they were all interesting, even if a couple were otherwise a bit average overall. The food was both unique and satisfying. The salt cod fritters were certainly unique for the area, and were good, if a little bit too salty altogether (though they definitely made you crave a beer). For our mains, I got the jerk chicken tacos and my wife got the coconut shrimp po boy, also unique twists on classic gastropub faire. And both were very good, and were worth the trip on their own. The fries were also pretty close to perfect, and there was plenty on the menu I'd like to try on another visit. The service was a bit rough and slow, but we did go on a Sunday early evening during a Steelers preseason game, so the vibe in the place was pretty laid back and slow, and the staff was only one bart

So fun and welcoming! We went for the first time and had three kids with us under the age of 5. Every single staff member was SO attentive and kind, going out of their way to serve us and make our experience the best. We loved the music, food, beer and ambience. Before we made it to our car, we were already talking about how we need to go back! Worth the trip. Makes you want to be on vacation!

We met family here for drinks and dinner and what an awesome hidden gem! Their food is really really good (I'm super picky and a foodie. I love the coconut shrimp app, shrimp tacos, salad and sweet potato fries. Everything was so tasty and full of flavor). I'm not a beer drinking so can't speak to the beer BUT I LOVED their margarita! The environment was great, staff was attentive and super friendly. Our server has started 2 weeks ago and you never would have guessed she was very attentive and knew the menu well! Highly recommend!
