Nice fresh japanese food and friendly service. The tofu was excellent and so was the horse mackerel. Also, if you like udon noodles or yakitori, this place is for you. Service is great The restaurant is a bit dated and can use a makeover, but the prices are extremely reasonable for the food and experience you get. Perfect place to be a regular.
Really local, great place. Open 10 years. The head shed is the owner. Found out about this place from a simple Google search for “best sushi in Richardson.” Place didn’t disappoint. Darvish roll, toro and Aji horse mackerel were incredible. Heart attack roll was a bit flat. We will be back.
So, dinner last night was amazing. Because we had a time limit due to a concert, we made reservations for 5 p.m., when they open on Sundays. It was our first time at Masami Japanese Sushi & Cuisine in Richardson, TX. The atmosphere, while quaint, was welcoming and comfortable. The staff, top notch. Everyone was attentive and had a smile. We were provided a small appetizer of salmon in a spicy onion mayo, lagniappe style, which was quite tasty. (I didn't get a pic) Appetizers included edamame (spicy and plain), tempura asparagus, and pork gyozas. The kids shared a dragon roll, a Louisiana roll, and a tuna tower. Mister enjoyed the soft shell crab and the sashimi appetizer C plate, followed by a darvish roll (I also forgot to take a pic, again) which had scallop, uni, and salmon. I don't do raw fish, so went with an entree of pan-seared pork in a lovely, zingy ginger sauce served with salad, miso soup, and white rice. Finished with an order of their donuts with a trio of dipping sauces..
