Marie Callender's Restaurant & Bakery

Tonight my partner came in and finished a simple order of a beef sandwich with au jus, mashed potatoes, a salad, a cup of soup and two pieces of pie at 6:51. 30 minutes (7:22) later the pretty simple order was up and she could head home. Partner got home and I noticed the soup and the au jus were missing. Before making the drive I tried to call (7:39), and they didn’t answer. So I drive the 15 minutes one way and they give me au jus and a cup of soup (no offer of anything else due to their error). Got back home, and opened my salad. No dressing. Called them (8:13 pm) and they answered this time. Expressed my frustration and left my number, but I’m not sure they got it down because their phone is so broken (likely cord) it cuts in and out with a lot of static. Fine. I’ll eat the salad after I go out and buy dressing, and I’ll figure out something else to go with my soup. Finish soup, open the pie pieces… and they gave us the wrong pie on one of the two. How can you mess up 4

The cornbread with honey butter and the razzleberry pie brought us here tonight. I'm visiting from Texas and this is one of my favorite chains that I don't have there. (We got the pie to go & I forgot to take a photo prior to devouring it.) I enjoyed the potato cheddar soup with house salad and quiche. My sister liked her salmon and our friend thought the Frisco Melt was good but would have been better without the lettuce. Note that the menu lists vegetarian options and specialties but does not identify dishes that do not contain gluten. Vegetarian options: Identified on menu. They include a meatless "burger" option. Parking: Open lot next to restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: All the parking spaces were full: one story restaurant that is easily accessible.

An excellent Marie's Calendars. Loved the set that includes Bar and TV's. Restaurant looks amazing.
