Maria's Cafe Mexican Restaurant

I used to come to this place very often before COVID hit. I went back once right after the soft opening of business following COVID and it wasn't the same because they had no food servers. You just looked at a screen, ordered what you wanted, and you could sit there and eat it or take it home. I didn't much care for that system so I stayed away for a while. Now they're back to the old system and the food is just as good as I remember it. There was only one server working when I came in, but she handled it very well. So if you've never visited Maria's Cafe before, do yourself a favor and go see them. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Ordered a Pastor Burrito and a Chicken Salad. The burrito was overly salted, but the salad was good. Chips were great! The service was slow and inefficient taking 3 trips to the table to take our order, even though we stated we were ready to order from the time we sat down. They took the orders of 2 tables before us that had arrived after us. Took forever to get refills on drinks. Only ended up with a single one each. Bathrooms were not very well maintained and out of paper products. Took forever to get our bill.

Today was my first time here. I was getting tire work done and spent my hour at Maria's. I got pozole, michelada and chips, and salsa. The salsa was perfect for me. The cabbage, onion dish that came with the chips was amazing! I could eat a large bowl of it! The broth in the pozole was delicious. I will be back! Can't wait to try your beans. Thank you!!
