MIL's favorite restaurant, so we had a largeish group there for her 90th birthday. Service was someone who always takes care of her--Felix, I think? He was spot on, accurate and friendly. I really liked the chips and guac my husband ordered for the group. He's vegan and loves their veggie fajitas. I had a nice relleno but might try something else next time. Oh, good salsa, too.
The other day we stopped at a real fancy restaurant called ????️ Manuel's Mexican Restaurant! The atmosphere was amazing their glasses and dishes were all retro and the food was fantastic! ????????????️???????????? Almost looks like I made it myself! ???? Not a bad place. One of the better salsas I've had here in Arizona. The steak in my Chimichanga was prepared nicely. Unlike the shoe leather you end up with in a lot of Mexican restaurants. I would love to rate this place higher because my grandmother loves this place, but nothing here screams that you have to come back here. I certainly wouldn't tell somebody not to go here. My lack of being impressed may have just been what I ordered. I would advise anybody who reads this to visit here and come to your own conclusion. I am told that this is more of a traditional Mexican restaurant versus the more Americanized variants that are more well known and franchised throughout the US.
