Manny's House of Pizza

I am not sure why I am just now writing a review as I have been coming here since the late 80's. We think the world of Manny and without a doubt this is the BEST pizza that we have ever had (And we are from NY originally). We always call ahead and have our pie ready when we arrive. Our kids have been eating this pizza since before they were born as we always made Manny's a destination stop after her OB/GYN visits and our kids are now 16,14, and 12). I recommend Manny's to EVERYONE that I meet when the topic of Pizza comes up.

Delicious thin-crust New York-style pizza! Bright, zesty sauce, crust nicely crisp on the edge (but not too crispy). Pepperoni was nice and sausage was some of the most flavorful I've had in a while. Light amount of cheese. Fair value for the price - about $12 for 2 slices (ea with one topping) and a Coke. Look forward to trying more of the menu.

Some of the best pizza BUT something "strange" happened to me there today. The way they have it set up is you make your order at one end, then when you pay you tell the cashier at the other end what you ordered and she rings it up. Out of all of the folks in front of me in line and everyone behind me (while I was waiting), I was the only one that she asked staff for confirmation of what I ordered (I am estimating 10 other orders happened while I was there). That was after I "guaranteed" that what I told her was correct. She literally would not ring my order up until she got confirmation. Of note, the only "difference" between me and the others in line was the hue of my skin. Great pizza but I don't think I am going back. My wife, who buys pies from there for her office, is taking her business elsewhere.
