Today I came in and ordered a Jerk chicken plate. I usually always check my food before I leave but I did not today. The restaurant appeared clean, their was 1 other customer sitting in the restaurant, and the cashier was nice and attentive. However when I got home I realized my food was not fresh and was atleast a day old ALL OF IT! I came around 1:40ish so they were open for some time. I love plantains but they were not fresh, the chicken was atleast 1-2 days old, the rice and peas were stale and had an old taste to it as if it was cooked the day prior. By the time I made it home my food was completely cold! And I live less than 15 minutes away, it wasn’t any heat to my food. I am dissapointed as I read great reviews which is why I came. However, it is extremely wrong to sell food that you know isn’t fresh, especially when it was cooked the previous day, and to charge someone full price without letting them know “Hey this food wasn’t made today, we had left overs from yesterday and w
Mangos…. How I wish I could give you a five star. This restaurant is downtown about a .6 mile walk from all the tourist spots (Aquarium, Coke, etc). The Caribbean food we had tonight was delicious, and the server who worked the front counter was excellent. The inside sadly is not up to the standards of the food and will be a turn off to many. The curry chicken plate with rice, plantains, and cabbage with carrots was delicious. The Mac and cheese side was generous and pretty good. The fried tilapia sandwich was really tasty. The beef and veggie patties were okay but they tasted like they had been in the case all day (we ate at dinner time).
Service fee should be optional. Not everybody service is good. Give customer a chance to pay for what they got. If your service is good I will pay but if it bad I will not stop ripping people off. If I come to dine, why do you bring me the bill after I order. I sit for 15 mins restaurant was empty just one other customer and it took that long to be acknowledge. You come to the table no greetings, didn’t ask if I want something to drink. You only have oxtail, curry goat and stew chicken after I chose one of the few options you just walk away. Plantain was burnt and taste a little bitter and crunchy. Why bay leaf in the food if it still not gonna have any flavor. Not everyone wants parboiled rice and peas not everyone is diabetic. Oxtail and curry goat is too expensive to not taste good you have to throw it away. They didn’t have any fat or skin which was very good. The light was too bright. Only Jamaican restaurant has this bright light when you dinning at night. The lights should be di
