The fact that this place has 5 stars blows me away. My guess is that they are paid for reviews. My wife is Filipino and even she said it’s a shady business at best. Went here 7/7/2022 and ordered a two item plate. First red flag was no listed prices anywhere for the difference sized plates! I mean nowhere. Maybe I should have asked yes I admit but my hell what a rip off! Prices weren’t on the main kiosk sign or the small sheets on the table by the order area. Only prices were for small ala carte items. Second red flag. They didn’t offer me a receipt. Said the receipts weren’t working. Final tally was $30.56 that showed up on my bank account for a 2 item plate. People I’m telling you stay the hell away from this place. They are sketchy! I’ll be reporting them to the Utah Labor Commission, BBB and Health Department!
The food is so authentic and tasty! My husband who lived in the Philippines for a while said the adobo was the best he has ever had! The BBQ was so delicious and the lechon was so tender and yummy! We will be frequenting this place often! This owner is so cute and adds to the charm of this place!!
Mama's Cook house is food made with love. Lola is the best. I had a house full of sick kids and noone wanted to cook so I went to the ocean mart (mask on) to visit Mama's kitchen to see what was left at 5:30. Even though it was the end of the day, Lola made my family and I a mouthwatering and beautiful bowl of Bulalo with a side of lumpia and pancit canton. The kids and I loved it. Her menu has filipino staples cooked to perfection with all the deep flavors of true house-cooked meals, all made from the heart. I'd post pictures, but it's all eaten. -Thank you!!
