Mama Mia's

I have fond memories of Mama Mia's from childhood. Especially their garlic bread. And they are as good as I remember. Garlic bread still unbelievable. I would describe their main pizza sauce as mellow. Not tangy and tasting very much like tomato. The spices they use are minimal. They are still one of the best longstanding pizza and Italian food places in Milwaukee. Vegetarian options: I believe their veg lasagna had no meat. But there are pasta with sauce choices and naturally pizza with veg toppings. Parking: Parking lot of their own right next to the building. About 30 spaces. Wheelchair accessibility: The door to the main entrance is a small ramp. There are no steps into the dining room so a wheelchair could get into the restaurant. They have tables that can have chairs removed to make space for a wheelchair.

I didn’t go here for a whole year because I had a bad pizza. But thought I’d give it another chance. But NO Improvement. My pizza was over done and there was so much flour on bottom it tasted like flour????. The new generation isn’t doing the original Mama Mia’s justice. I remember when I was young it was the best pizza around. Not any more ????

Great authentic cuisine! Personally I had the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was delicious! Spaghetti was made to perfection, with the excellent thin crust pizza made with care:) Nice cozy atmosphere that makes you think of old "smaller" town Milwaukee. Would highly recommend.
