Makomae Japanese Cuisine

BY FAR the most fresh fish I've ever had and probably the most expensive too hahahah. But everything here is just amazing and yes totally worth it!! I asked if it was AYCE, the lady said our fish is way too fresh to be AYCE and she was not lying! It was a great experience with great food. A definite must try!

This gem of a place hidden in an unassuming strip mall by the bowling alley. Walking in, you’ll find a packed house with several waitresses and depending on the time of day one or more sushi chefs ready to serve you an amazing omakase. Been coming over the years when I’m in town and they’ve never disappointed. Call ahead for reservations and enjoy the black sesame ice cream dessert.

Absolutely the best sushi I have had in a really long time. There was definitely a wait time, if you can handle it, about an hour before we were able to grab seats at 7:40ish on a Thursday night. They are really good at what they do tho, so it was worth it. All the fish just melted in my mouth, even yellowtail, which I usually dislike, was delicious.
