stopped by before a lil concert! service was pretty fast & friendly. our server george was a sweetie! tofu was very crispy, no easy feat! diet coke? kinda flat :/ all in all good time!
Honestly, some of the best food I’ve ever had in Milwaukee. But on top of the amazing food, the vibes are awesome. The staff members are super friendly and if you snag a seat at the bar you’ll more than likely end up chatting it up with some kind Milwaukee locals. Now back to the food. The chicken wings on the appetizer menu are *chef kiss* perfect. It’s always cooked perfectly every time with great flavor. With my second favorite appetizer being the squid. As for main dishes I always go for the drunken noodles, pad thai ( both dishes you can customize your spice level and add your choice of protein, I usually choose shrimp ) the Pho or the BBQ Salmon. Pick any of those dishes and I promise you won’t regret it.
I remembered enjoying eating here so I came back at long last. I stopped for a late weekday lunch when there weren't a lot of customers and got a spot at the bar. I had a cup of tom yum with veggies and the drunken noodles with tofu. You can pay extra for protein in the soup but I liked it with just veggies. The sour and lightly sweet clear broth is what it's really about anyway. It was refreshing with the crisp vegetables. I ordered my noodles at spice level 4 (out of 5) and they had a nice sinus-clearing kick without the spice overwhelming the dish. They had a nice aromatic flavor from the basil and there was plenty of contrast between the thick noodles, stir-fried vegetables, scrambled eggs, and the tofu. I like the bar seating because you can watch people on the street. Will have to come back again.
