Lucky Dumpling

So the ambiance is AWESOME, the service is great, and I am a huge fan of Brother Luck so I am biased. However the soup dumplings - the pork xiao long bao - were greasy. While the flavor was great the greasiness felt really cloying. I would go back to try again, maybe a different dish; the flavors are on point.

We decided to try this place due to its reviews about the variety of dumplings. We love dumplings so of course we jumped in! We tried the pork fried dumplings, mamma jamma bao and fried rice. The pork ones were really good and the sauce it came in was really flavorful but the entire point of it being “fried” went out the window cause it was soaked in the sauce. The bao buns were really not great, very under seasoned and just not great flavor. The fried rice was the most disappointing! It was just clumps of rice mixed with few shreds of egg and veggies. For the time we waited, we expected better tasting food but this was a disappointment. The rating it’s receiving is due to the pork dumplings, nothing else.

Really great food, super clean and the service was good. Love the seasonal menu. Dumplings were incredible. Drunken noodles were spicy and my favorite thing on the menu!! We enjoyed date night at Lucky Dumpling.
