Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. My blind guest, his guide dog and I stopped by for lunch around 11:30am. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Once they realized my guest was blind, they did a great job at taking care of him. They described the dishes for him and even carried his tray to an empty table without him needing to ask for assistance. Very impressed!! Way to go, Luby's!!
What a horrible meal. Had to ask for a steak knife to cut my chicken fried steak and still had a hard time. Fried okra was luke warm, soggy and crust falling off. Dressing wasn't much better. Been a long time since I've been there and will be a long time before I go back, if I do. Enjoyed the company I was with. Bad meal. Also, the place was freezing.
I've been going to Luby's since I was a little kid. Their food is always consistently good. I really like the fried fish and their homemade tartar sauce is out of this world!! It's a shame that some of them were closed over the last couple of years in San Antonio. It's my hope that one day they will open more up again.
