Haven't been to a Luby's in a long time. Was where I went years ago with my granny after church. Very nostalgic trip down memory. Seriously a great bunch of kiddos! Hats off to the Manager who did the awesome job of hiring!
This was the absolute worst experience. I was excited to come to a Lubys as I haven't been since I was a child. I was quickly shown why they are going out of business. Poorly trained staff. Out of many options on the line that you had to wait for. We were told our waiter would bring our sides to our table. They never did. The cashier didn't know how to operate it correctly. It was awful all around.
My son and I purchased fish and fried chicken dinners. I sent the corn dressing with white gravy back tasted strange. My son fried fish was small and dried (over fried). He paid over $30 and we kept sending food back even the dried out fried chicken. We tipped the waitress well because of her hard work - returning awful entrees and veggies back to the kitchen. My son seemed to enjoy the store or frozen chocolate cake Luby's staff sliced and sold to their customers. Luby's has lost it's glitter. ????????????????????????
