Great ambiance as usual, but everything is fried and fatty foods, so didn't order anything. I realize it's a limited menu right now so hopefully they make some big changes. I did have a glass of wine, which was a very small pour and it was ELEVEN dollars!! Whoa!! That's a bit extreme!! Got a heavy pour at Bishops Quarter for $8! We do want to try it again after the soft opening, but please have some salad choices and some grilled choices!
I love this location but for whatever reason nobody seems to make a go of it. Love Birds will be the next one to go. This is a hard pass. Unfortunately they are victims of the same issue for many restaurants. Understaffed, however you can overcome that with great service and food. The table next to us sent their food back and asked to go, which didn't make us feel good, then after recommending the meatloaf we were informed that they were out, 6:00 pm, had an order of chicken and waffles, the chicken was flavorful, but it was a bit over cooked, which we found out was the issue at the other table, and it is half a breast. The waffles were cold, which also shouldn't have surprised us as two tables that came in after us already had their food. We had one order of chicken and waffles and one order of a salad wedge. Probably not the most difficult order. They did try and bring another waffle but it was cold also, so probably a kitchen issue and not a server problem. Prices seem t
2 chicken dinners (2 piece @ $18 each), 2 drinks ($12 each), 1 chicken sandwich meal, 1 appetizer - $100 before tip. I'm not cheap, but don't expect to pay that much for fried chicken. The chicken was overly greasy with oil pooled on the surface and the meat was tough - even the center breast, which is the most tender meat on the chicken. My chicken dinner was brought out before the other we ordered...mine was cool - the other that was brought out just minutes later was steaming hot. The mac n cheese had literally 1/2" of oil at the bottom of the bowl...I had to pull it aside to find out, because I just couldn't eat it. I'm a big guy and not afraid of greasy, fatty foods, but this was just too much. Overall, the concept doesn't match the decor, either...the service was excellent...couldn't be happier with that, but the food was overpriced and under-quality...oh, and served on an aluminum tray with a paper liner that disintegrated with all the oil. I really wanted to like this place,
