los Mezquites

We moved to Tucson from Florida recently. We were looking for the ultimate Mexican Breakfast buffet... and we found it here !! The setting is quaint and traditional with its colorful garden and beautiful potted plants in the outdoor sitting area. The buffet had everything we were looking for and more. The food is flavorful, bursting with all of the goodness one would expect when eating Mexican food. The owner was grilling Carne Asada outside and stopped to let us sample a piece and talked to us about his history of ten years in this building. He is famous for his Carne Asada and his local reviews are awesome. We will be back and you should stop here too !

Such a quaint place, food is good, actually really good. Will be going back to take my kids to the weekend buffet.

Let's talk about magic. Let's talk Los Mezquites. The mesquite wafting on the wind isn't your imagination, they're cooking right on the coals. The tortillas have to be homemade, and the carne asada isn't filler, it's the good stuff. And the family that runs this place welcomed me like I was one of their own, even though it was my first visit. Try all of the sauces. Again, magic.
