Lord Empanada

Simply the best empanadas in Los Angeles. Always fresh, always scrumptious, and I can't wait to be munching away while they thrive for years to come! Kid-friendliness: The environment seems more suited to young adult and adult groups, but I've seen lots of kids in there before and they have a great time! Parking: Minimal parking, but walking from a further spot means you deserve to treat yourself to an extra empanada! Wheelchair accessibility: The bathrooms are not wheelchair friendly, and the dining area is a little on the small size so large wheelchairs would be difficult to maneuver. That said, the people there are so great that they make everyone feel welcome. They'll get you inside and well fed.

Wow excellent empanadas: strongly recommend this food. Ordered the pizza, breakfast w/ bacon, beef and spinach. Each one was 5 stars. The sauce was excellent and they labeled the box so I knew which empanada I would be eating. Allowed me to eat them in the order I wanted and came with a nice personal greeting. This place is a class act. I’ll be eating here again.

Was craving for empanadas the other day and saw Lord Empanadas in Monrovia. Decided to give it a try, it is a little pricey, $3.50 per piece, 1 dozen for $36. At first, I didn't see the price for 1 dozen, so I bought 8 empanadas which cost $36, I wished the lady at the cashier told me about the dozen special. I went back 2 days later to get 1 dozen, 3 beef, 3 chicken, 2 pizza, 2 sausage and 2 bacon. The reason I went back was because my wife and son wanted more, they loved it very much. The beef and chicken empanadas are very good, a great mixture of spices and flavor. Pizza is pretty normal which my son loved. The breakfast sausage and bacon are great too. Overall, great empanadas w/ excellent outer crust, however, in my opinion the fillings are too little.
