Lone Star Taco Bar

This is a great neighborhood bar. The drinks are real good. The staff is great. The food is good and the menu is interesting. My only issue is the price of one taco $5+? It's the way it is around here unfortunately. Fortunately this place does a good job with everything, so I will be back.

Small portions that were great a midnight snack. The tortillas were a bit thin so there was a lot falling out as I was eating it. The queso was the absolute best. You’d make a mistake if you didn’t try it. I could take a whole bucket home with me and it would be gone within a week.

So happy to have stumbled across this spot after a concert with friends. I wish I could give it a 4.5. I ordered the Spicy Beef and Barbacoa tacos, both were structured beautifully and the tortillas did not disappoint. We also ordered a salsa quemada for the table and I’m not ashamed to admit I went in on these, chips were perfectly thick and salted. Thank you to our bartender for the salsa recommendation btw! We also ordered a tres leches for dessert. Although it’s not what my group of friends and I expected (hence the -.5) for a tres leches (we like it a little more wet) we believe it wasn’t too far from our expectations and the icing was good. The cold brew coffee was a perfect way to finish off our meal, not what I expected but really good. Overall I really enjoyed the balance of tradition and creativity throughout the meal. It wasn’t too busy and the “vibes” were peak at this spot. I appreciate that they’re open late and the fact that they offer BRUNCH. ALL. DAY. (One person from
