Lone Star Cafe

My daughter and I had to go to Grapevine today to run errands before her move to college this week. We decided to have breakfast at this lovely place before starting our day. We did wait a few minutes to be acknowledged when we walked in so we weren't sure if we should seat ourselves or not. Nevertheless, not enough of an issue for us to give them a lower review especially considering there is a "now hiring" sign on the door as you enter. We had the pleasure of Catherine (I hope I spelled her name correctly) serving us and she was amazing. Her positive attitude was infectious! The food was delicious! My daughter had Billy's Choice and I had The Two by Four. The scrambled eggs were moist but not watery, the bacon (we asked for crispy) was perfect, the sausage was moist and not greasy and then...the pancakes. They were the perfect part of moist, fluffy and firm that we LOVE! Yes, we'll be going back. No question.

Stopped by on our way to the Grapevine Vintage Train Station. No complaints. Food was fresh and hot. Service was efficient. The place does get busy during the weekend and we didn’t feel rushed. The hash was my highlight.

Excellent breakfast and service, got there at 10:30 and was torn between breakfast and lunch. Decided to go the breakfast route and glad I did, I had the chorizo skillet and it was excellent, wife had the avocado toast, she enjoyed hers as well.
